Well situated family-run hotel, with the
personal touch. Near the main shopping centres, the beach, the casino,
the Leopoldpark, the municipal swimming-pool and the library. Art lovers
will be delighted to learn that a famous museum of modern art (called
PMMK Museum) is located less than 3 minutes walking from our hotel, in
the prolongation of our street. The warm athmosphere, the direct contact
between management and guests, and the ever helpful staff, ensures that
there is always a homely environment in the Lido 2000.
The
hotel Lido 2000 is a listed building in art deco-style. It was designed
by architect A. Daniëls and is a very well preserved example of the
economic revival of Ostend in the twenties. In the fifties the offices
of the tax collector were installed here. In 1982 they moved to a new
complex, and after the necessary repairs and alterations the building
resumed it’s original function as a hotel. Since 1986 the management
of the hotel has been in the hands of the family Fordeyn-Tahon.
The hotel Lido 2000 offers a large
variety of rooms, to suit all budgets. All the rooms are en-suite with
shower and toilet, and are equipped with telephone and television.
Buffet-breakfast is included.
Pets are welcome at € 4,00 per
day. In the common parts of the hotel they are to be kept on a lead.
They are not allowed in the dining-room.
