This MUSEUMHOTEL hides a lot of
history, which is still shown today.
The first certificate dated 1492, when
the building was one of the famous houses where boats discharged in
the Dutch quarter.
This quarter of town still has Dutch
memories : The House Holland , the oldest pub in town ….
The interior
of the hotel suits to his historical value.
The rooms are decorated with antique
furnitures and old paintings. All rooms are different : one owns a
balcony overlooking the roofs of Bruges, one has authentic beams, …
Next to the reception, the
Garemijn-room, is decorated with 3 paintings of Jan Garemijn, which
represent the port of Amsterdam. Jan Garemijn was director of the
Academy of Arts. The wall is clothed by painted leather from Cordoba
of 2 meters by 4 meters, a unique place to see.
The old kitchen is transformed into an
antique bar with open fireplace, where you can taste any kind of our
world famous Belgian beers.
The novel of Georges Rodenbach, Brûges
la Morte was filmed here.
The lounge remind you of the rich past
: furnitures, a 16th century old clock, a terrestrial
globe, a 17th century old statue …
The English garden and terrace with
wrought iron gate provide the house with a green note to relax and
enjoy the silence and beauty of nature.
Visit and stay at our beautiful hotel,
it's a lifetime experience.
I can assure you a warm welcome !!
