The restaurant is located on the very site where the river “Senne”
entered Brussels. Its role was to regulate the inflow of water and to
protect the city against floods. The lock has not been in use since 1955
and was listed as a historical monument in 1984. It was turned into a
restaurant in 1997 and you will eat in the original engine room, a feast
for both your eyes and your palate.
