In the choir
of the Church of Our Lady a part is preserved for the
famous tombs of the Dukes of Burgundy, who ruled
Flanders and Bruges in the 15th century. The oldest tomb
(on the left) is the late-gothic tomb of Duchess
Mary of Burgundy, the great heiress of
Burgundy and wife of Maximillian of Austria, from the
House of Habsburg. The other tomb (right) belongs to her
father, duke Charles the Bold of Burgundy.
