One of the
legends about "Brabo" says : " In a castle on the
banks of the river Scheldt lived the giant Druon
Antigoon. All the ships that sailed passed his castle
had to pay a heavy toll. Those who refused to pay the
toll, had their hand cut off by the giant who then threw
it in the river. One day, the roman soldier Silvius
Brabo managed to beat the giant. Brabo at his turn cut
off the hand of Antigoon and threw it in the Scheldt
river. "
